My Pretties
Here are the newest additions to my family. I am not sure if I have ever mentioned this, but I have had a serious infatuation with Orchids. They are by the far the coolest flower in the world. They only bloom for about 6 months, but they are well worth the wait. They are just so unique and exotic, something that is needed around this part of the world.

The Sweetest Thing
I left Samih playing alone in his playroom the other day, and was trying to pick up the house. I heard him babbling, and then it turned in to full on yelling. I quietly snuck up on him, to find him, pulled up on the window sill and yelling at some kids across the street. He seemed unsure why they weren't responding. It was so cute, after he realized they werent going to answer him, he sat down and began to play with his toys. He seemed so bored, and I must admit I seriously contemplated getting pregnant just so he can have a playmate. I know, its kind of lame, but his happiness is more important to me than I ever realized. I think once I settle in with the new job I will need to get busy to pop out a buddy for Sam.

Easter Pics... just the beginning
Samih got the cutest Easter outfit and I have been dying to put him in it, and of course take some pics. He looks so grown up! He does have another more dressy Easter outfit, I think I will take some pics in that as well. I know... he is not a model or a doll, but I just can't help but want to take a hundred pics in every outfit he has!Hopefully he isnt too scarred when he grows up, and hates the camera.

Rest in Peace Malcolm Reiss
Saturday morning, the man I have always thought of as a grandpa, and who always called me his grandaughter, passed away peacefully in his sleep. This is an immense loss for myself, my family, and all that knew him. Malcolm was a fighter, and although his health was not well he still always managed to have a smile on his face. He had these jokes that were incredibly funny, and he had the wit of a comedian. He saw the good in people and always wanted to help whoever he could.
Every year, I wrote his Christmas cards, and we always had a great time doing so. We would listen to the Big Band cds, drink coffee, and he would often tell me of all his stories growing up in New York. Each Christmas card I wrote always had a story behind it, whether it was an old Army pal, or a childhood friend, I felt like I was there when he told the stories. And strangely, I grew to love all of the people he would send cards to. As I mentioned, he had many friends in the Army, and he served his country proudly. After his enlistment was over, he worked here at Hill Air Force Base, where he worked for many years. He always told me that Hill Air Force Base was the best place to work, and that he hoped that I would land a position there for myself. A few weeks ago I landed my position as a Computer Scientist, and I meant to call you Malcolm because I knew you would be so happy. I am so sorry I was too busy to call you this past month. Christmas time will never be the same without you. In the time that I spent with Mal, I feel that I have taken away much needed wisdom, from his old war stories, and just from his great outlook on life. I love you so much Mal!
I miss you already, and I wish I would have just called you when I had the chance, I am so sorry! May you rest in peace Grandpa.

TROUBLE!

So now I am beginning to understand what everyone was saying when they said Samih would be into EVERYTHING! I still find most everything that he does pretty hilarious, especially when I was cooking, and Kenneth was supposed to be watching him, and Samih ended up in Bonnie's dog bowls...poor Bonnie. I figured I might as well make it a Kodak moment, and capture how mischevious he already is! He has developed a little bit of a bad attitude, which I have no idea where he got it from lol, but his true colors really showed when we thought it would be fun to get some use out of the snowsuit that we bought him. Turns out, when it comes to snow, Samih was a bad sport. Which I don't blame him, it was kind of cold... He hated the snowsuit, hated the snow angel, and made some really naughty faces at us when we tried to get him to smile. Oh well, he is still the greatest little boy around!
Welcome Parker John!
We have a new addition to our family! My cousin had her baby a couple weeks early, and had a beautiful little little boy, who was 8 pounds, 21 inches, and has plenty of hair! I was amazed to see how well he latched on only a couple hours after he was born. He definitely was ready to be here, and ready to eat! Here some pics of the sweet baby! And I am positive these won't be the last of the pics of this little guy. What a great blessing!
