My little monkey

I know it sounds mean, but he really does look like a monkey when I push his ear out. Monkeys are my favorite animal and I have watched them for many hours so I can honestly say he looks like a monkey.

Monkeying Around

Ok, So I know I have no life if Iam blogging about my bathroom, but I must. I decided that Samih resembled a baby monkey. I know it sounds mean but if you see his picture you will understand. So I decorated his own bathroom in monkeys, hopefully it will encourage him to get potty trained early. We even painted monkeys over the toilet, but dont worry he has his eyes covered. Ken's cousin Gina, is a great artist and she helped me with that.

However I must say that I did all of the canvas art.

My Trailer Park Dream

So a friend from work told me about how he would live in a trailer park if all of his friends were living there too. It really got me thinking.... so if we all went in on some land, we could all by sweet trailers for cheap. We are talking $25-30 K, and it would be a trailer mansion. We could pay this baby off in like 6 months! We could retire early and start living the dream. That means we wouldn't have to deal with pricey mortgages or mowing the lawn! We would interview all prospective trailer tenants and make sure that they were as cool as us. So far Jessie is in, but Kenneth said Hell No, but I think I can work on him :).
Any other takers?

Oh Brother

I am a lucky girl and have been blessed with 5 brothers. I always wanted a sister, but I think Brooke and Eva will be as close to one as I will get.
My brothers are all great guys and they all have their own specialties.
Zake, my only older brother is a laid back guy. My favorite thing about him... probably his 2 daughters! He has 2 amazing little girls, I will tell you about them later. Anyways, Zake is a serious hunter, and is always trying to get my husband to hunt with him. Thank God I did not marry an innocent animal slayer! Kenneth is a lot like me, and would rather not shoot and poor animals. I would like to go fishing with my brother one day, he seems to be an avid fisher man too.
Bruce is my oldest of the youngest, and is quite the lover boy. Since he was like 3, he has been obsessed with girls, and always had a girlfriend. We seem to butt heads quite a bit, but I hope he knows how much I really love him.
Khalid is the next brother, and he is our lil computer genius. He is addicted to games like World of War Craft. But I swear he is cool, much cooler than most World of War Craft Geeks. He has a sweet heart, and is like a Teddy Bear.
Christopher on the other hand is far from being a geek. He is Mr. Style, and is always trying to look bling bling. Actually he is quite the stud, and has a great sense of style. He is so sweet, and is very emotional, even though he tries to act tough. When he was younger I could get him to cry on a dime.
Darweesh is my youngest of all brothers. His name actually means sweet heart, and he really is. He is by far my most thoughtful brother. He is always trying to help me out, and his heart is huge. He is hilarious, he does the best impressions of my dad, and makes me laugh until I pee.
My brothers are all great, and I am so glad that I have them!

Jason's Wedding

Jason, Kenneth's brother finally got married! He married a great girl, Brooke, who we are very happy to have as a sister in law! She is hilarious, and a very good person. Their wedding was very nice, but I must admit that my favorite part was getting to put Kenneth and Samih in a tux. I know its retarded but they looked so so cute!

Really I was very honored that Brooke asked me to be one of her bridesmaids! Although I feel like I was the worse bridesmaid ever.

Halloween

This was Sam's first Halloween. We decided to make it a family event, and dressed up with the Wizard of Oz theme. We had a lot of fun going around and visiting all of our family. Samih was the cutest lion ever!

Old Friends

I am getting to the age where friends are far and few between. In my case, mostly far. Kiana is by far the friend that I have known the longest, and I will definitely always be close to. She decided to move down to the dirty south, so I only get to see her on holidays. I miss her tons, and even though we don't talk all the time, we have an understanding that we will always be friends.

Lisa is my other friend that I have known for the longest. She is great and is always checking up on me. I miss her as well, her husband decided to go off and become a doctor, so they are away while he is finishing up med school. They have 3 darling children, who should be playing with my baby, but I will have to wait for the holidays to see them as well.

I am a firm believer in quality over quantity, and these 2 have been there for me through all of my trials and tribulations. I will always love you guys for that!

Growing Up Too Fast

It seems like everyday lil Sam is doing something new. It is so amazing to see how smart he is, but at the same time I feel like he is growing too fast! He is so alert and in tune to everything around him. I remember thinking that I couldn't wait to see his smile, and now he is all smiles, and doing new things all the time. He figured out how to grab his bottle and put it in his mouth on his own. I found myself freaking out a little, and thinking he isn't going to need me anymore :(

He has realized that his mom is a goof, and now laughs at me all the time. The first time I heard his laugh I thought I might cry. It was so sweet and innocent, the most beautiful sound ever. Sam is a very well mannered baby, he is so laid back, alot like his dad. He hardly cries, and is constantly smiling. I know I am sounding like the mom that says her kid is a catch, but he really is a great baby.

He has just discovered that he has a voice, and he lets out some of the loudest squeals. It is so funny, because he will scream out of nowhere, and then look around to see where the sound came from.

He just started eating solid foods, and it is the funniest thing to watch. His favorite is pears, and I don't blame him, that is the best one I have tasted so far too. Yes, I am the mom who eats her kids baby food.

New Life

So as we adjusted to our new life, we did tons of home improvement projects and spent tons of time together. My very good friend Lisa gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Beckam. It was this day that we decided to have a baby of our own. I remember getting in the car to leave the hospital, and for the first time in both of our lives we really wanted a baby. So we decided to start trying, and no more than a couple of months later I found out I was pregnant. It was the best feeling in the world, until the morning sickness (which lasted all day for me) started. It lasted for about 5 months of puking every meal up, and feeling constantly nauseous. The only thing that seemed to dull my pain was shopping. As soon as I found out we were having a little boy I bought everything I could possibly think of. His nursery was all decorated before I was 5 months pregnant. I have never planned anything better, or felt better about making plans. On June 18, Samih Arthur was born.

He decided to break my water 3 weeks early, and I was so relieved. It was just starting to get hot, and I was HUGE. After 19 hours of labor, he was born at 10:29 pm. He was 6lbs. 2 oz, and 19 inches long. He was absolutely beautiful, and I am still amazed that I made such a beautiful baby.

The Honeymoon

So for our honeymoon we went to Jamaica. Our resort was in Negril, and it was an all inclusive deal. I have never felt so relaxed in my life. We had so much fun, I wish we could have a beach house there. We went on a couple of daytrips, Mayfield Falls, a Booze Cruise, and a rip cord trip to the jungle.

About Fadela and Kenneth

We met on August 25, 2006. We were set up by his mom, and 3 weeks later he proposed!
I said yes, obviously, knowing that I was being crazy and impulsive. Only this time there were no regrets to follow.
We were married April 7, 2007, and have been living happily ever after since. We had a great wedding, all of Kenneth's family flew in from California and we truly celebrated. I discovered that Kenneth is a great dancer ;) and that I could truly be happy with him.

Hi

So I guess this is where I tell you about me. Kenneth and I have been married for about a year and a half. He is my best friend and the best thing to ever happen, I love him so much and we are so blessed to have found each other. We have a beautiful little boy, Samih, who is 4 months old. He is the sweetest little boy ever, and we are so in love with him. I love being a mom and Ken is a great dad.
We both work at Hill AFB, and love our jobs. I graduated with a BS in Business Administration, and Ken also goes to school full time, and will hopefully graduate in 2 years.
